Luminous Light

We are a group of girlfriends that mostly live in Perth, Western Australia. Each of us has been touched in one way or another by pregnancy, infant and child loss. It is because of the babies and children that we are not able to hold in our arms but in our hearts that we were brought together.

After an incredible evening in Mullaloo, Western Australia on October 15th 2010 (Pregnancy and Infant Loss Remembrance Day) the group leaders of Luminous Light held a special candlelight ceremony on the beach and many bereaved families joined us for what can only be described as a magical evening.

Since that day we have exchanged, phone calls, emails and spent morning teas together discussing how we could bring a little light into the lives of women, couples and families during the darkest moments of their lives.

We now have a gorgeous friendship group here in Perth where we gather for morning and afternoon teas and special events such as Mothers Day and October 15th Pregnancy and Infant Loss Remembrance Day. Healing after a loss is easier and made to be a beautiful experience when you can share your journey with those who understand. Throughout the year at Luminous Light we create miscarriage care packs and memory boxes for hospitals in Perth Western Australia. Our major delivery date is August 19th each year. We create the gifts over an afternoon tea at Carly Marie’s home. It is a beautiful afternoon filled with good food, smiles, tears. If you are from Perth and you find yourself here it may have been because you received one of our care packages. If the care package played a role in your healing and you would like to create one for another family experiencing the same loss you may want to come and get to know us all.

Every night of the year The Luminous Light Tree is lit up by candlelight. We light the candles in memory of all the babies and children that have left this world too soon. We also light candles as a prayer to those feeling alone in their grief. So wherever you are in the world know there is a candle lit for you and your children.
